  • 1cup chopped walnuts250 ml
  • 1cup chopped pecans250 ml
  • 1cup sliced almonds250 ml
  • 1cup unsweetened shredded coconut250 ml
  • 1cup shelled sunflower seeds250 ml
  • 1/4cup sesame seeds60 ml
  • 1/4cup wheat germ60 ml
  • 3cups raisins750 ml
  1. Combine the water, brown sugar, honey, oil, molasses, and cinnamon is a saucepan and bring to a simmer over moderate heat.
  2. Combine all of the remaining ingredients except the raisins in a very large mixing bowl and add the syrup, stirring to combine thoroughly.
  3. Divide the mixture between 2 or 3 sheet pans and bake in a preheated 250F (120C) for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes, until toasted and dry.
  4. Allow to cool and add the raisins.
  5. Makes about 4 quarts (4 L).
